I’m teaching a NEW 4-WEEK CLASS at Northfield Arts Guild!
You have stories to tell. You want to write a book, but where do you start? Or maybe you’ve started — but struggle to build momentum. In this class, you’ll map out a flexible story framework, identify your best writing practices, and connect with fellow creatives for accountability and cross-pollination. Write while you learn!
Tuesdays, June 18-July 16, 6-8 (no class July 2)
I’m so excited to teach in Northfield, the only Minnesota town mentioned BY NAME in my book, German Awakening: Tales from an American Life. Join me? It’ll be fun!
Dear Twin Cities Folks,
Ever want to ask: How did you become an author? Have you wondered what that might look like, if you ever wrote your book? (You know the one. Maybe like me you decided you’ll NEVER write it. Well, surprise…)
Join me for Author’s Studio at Edina Art Center. I’ll talk about that. Plus Q & A and Book Signing.
German Awakening: Tales from an American Life was 40 years in the making, and yes, there are reasons it took so long. My true-life novel centers on Otherness and Belonging. And that takes time.
It’s one thing to dream about writing your life’s story and another entirely to do it. (For the record, no, your family won’t thank you for writing them into your book.) I’ll speak on how this book found me, challenges we face as authors, and why I believe our stories matter enough to write anyway.
Do you have a FREE hour that Saturday? Please come.
P.S. This is rescheduled from my March Snow Day.
