When I went by Frau Hallberg, German teacher, students and random community members regularly sent me German-related books. (Almost never happened with Spanish, which tells you something about the inevitability of that ill-fated position.) So I knew I’d found my groove again as a teacher when people started sending me books because the writing was good and it made them think of me.
A perfect example: just before quarantine started, a friend brought me a plastic tub — a gold mine — filled with storycraft books. Exactly the perfect resource for the classes I’ve been leading.
Still, it’s a funny thing when a client sends a resource — an invaluable ebook called Understanding Emotions & Their Primary Messages — and the author is one of your best friends and trusted colleagues. I met Keri Mangis just after I’d quit my high-school-teaching job, and she’s taught me TONS about emotional wisdom. It’s even funnier to receive her ebook because I’ve been meaning to share this cool podcast conversation we recorded during our early quarantine, but I hadn’t gotten around to it.
No time like the present.
You can check the FREE ebook out on Keri’s website when you listen to our podcast on why writing matters.
